What is everyone's experience with boredom? I've been bored all my life, and what striking to me is that even when I am in a good mood, I am not
particularly interested in doing anything, but I'm still bored. Bored, bored, bored. Like now. ?

And on another side of this, often people who are in my position -- long time of unemployment -- have some sort of worthwhile hobbies... something that keeps
them occupied and advancing on some front... writing, playing sports, music, etc... but unless masturbating to pornography is a sport, I have none of that.
Just stinky all around. |

This forum keeps using the word "discussion."
I not think it means what it think it means. |

Me likey movies too. I watch them at home, though, on the computer. Getting to a theater takes way too much effort. I'm too depressed to be anywhere on
time.

I get bored very quickly. I can start to watch a film, and wander off mid film, then start something else, and then change again. My hobbies and interests
reflect that. I have so many and i was obsessional about them at first, then got bored and moved to the next thing. I go back to them briefly then get bored
again. Nothing hold my attention long enough.
As for cinemas...nope don't go to them either, too many people too close to me and behind me... i'm sure they'd do things nasty to me |

I used to wonder if I had ADD. But then my psychiatrist said, "People with ADD have things they actually enjoy doing," which, I guess, rules me out.

Trouble is, i find, how can you really enjoy anything? You get so worried someone will say something nasty about what you enjoy doing, you stop doing it, or
you pick up other people hobbies so that they like you, and you end up with a load of hobbies which you don't really enjoy, but have to keep them going so
you're liked, and then that friend dumps you and you're so upset because you were so into their hobby and they left you!!

Well, if I actually enjoyed anything for it's own sake, I could find friends through it. Unfortunately, I don't really enjoy much, so I have to make
believe to be a normal person, but I clearly am not, and it's just depressing and draining and makes me feel worse and even more out-of-place.
